Welcome to the global information network of Bureau of Agricultural Finance (BOAF), Council of Agriculture (COA), Executive Yuan!

For a long period of time, credit departments of Farmers’ and Fishermen’s Associations have provided farmers and fishermen with the capital they needed. They have great achievements on advancing the development of agriculture and fishery. However, due to the impacts of global economy, commodity internationalization, occurrence of natural disasters, reorganization and merger of financial institutions, the advance development of financial products and other factors, the current system of agricultural finance is confronted with lots of challenges and crisis.

 The goal of establishing BOAF is toconstruct a complete, safe and autonomous agricultural finance system. Its policies include the establishment of National Agricultural Bank to strengthen guidance for credit departments of agriculture and farmers’ associations, improve supervisory and inspection systems for agricultural finance, increase agricultural loan in policy aid for agricultural industries, provide sufficient funds for agricultural developments, enhance the abilities to provide financing functions of agricultural finance, construct statistical data banks and information networks for agricultural finance, improve information exposure and transparency of agricultural finance, cultivate professionals in agricultural finance and increase management performance of agricultural finance institutions. BOAF hopes that agricultural finance would provide the support for agricultural development with the implementation of these polices. In addition, it hopes that the business opportunities of agricultural developments are able to maintain steady growth in agricultural finance so that credit departments of agriculture and farmers’ associations can resume their competitive advantages and attain a sustainable agricultural finance environment. In this way, agriculture and farmers’ associations would fulfill their basic spirit in taking care of farmers and fishermen.

Wu Chi and the entire staff of the BOAF shall continue to serve farmers and fishermen as our core values, actualize service, professional and trustworthy work attitudes, and to strive for developments in agricultural finance.
